Cliff Bastin signed from Exeter City as a youngster in 1929 and immediately went on to cement his place in Arsenal's first team that season.

The forward primarily played on the left side of Arsenal's attack and was an instant hit at the club. The forward's composure, pace and technical ability was one of the huge reasons why he scored so many goals for the club, despite not being the main centre-forward.

Under Herbert Champman, Bastin became the youngest player to win a league title, FA Cup and and international call-up for England. He went on to win five First Division titles and two FA Cups during his time at the club and retired as the club's all-time top scorer - a record which was not broken for the next 58 years.

#2 Ian Wright (288 appearances) - 185 goals

Ian Wright joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace in 1991, having already established himself as one of the most lethal strikers in the Premier League. However, the Englishman took his game to a different level after joining the Gunners.

Wright's pace, guile and finishing ability helped him rip apart Premier League defenses, winning the Premier League Golden Boot in his first season at Arsenal. The striker went on to win the Premier League title, two FA Cups and the European Cup Winner's Cup during his time at the club.

Wright would also go on to break Cliff Bastin's goal record at Arsenal in 1997 with a hat-trick against Bolton. However, the Englishman left the club for West Ham the following season.

#1 Thierry Henry (377 appearances) - 228 goals

Arguably the greatest Premier League player of all time, Theirry Henry joined Arsenal as a young winger from Juventus. Under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger, he transformed himself into one of the most feared strikers in the history of the sport.

Already blessed with great pace and physical attributes, Henry was the complete striker. His dribbling, shooting, finishing and technical ability made him unstoppable, terrorizing defenses throughout his Arsenal tenure.

Henry went on to win the Premier League Golden Boot in four out of his eight years at the club, and also won the European Golden Boot for two consecutive seasons.

The Frenchman will go down in history as one of the greatest players of all time, and his goal-scoring record for Arsenal looks like it won't be broken anytime soon.
