Millions of people dream about meeting their idols, and some of them even take extreme measures such as running past security on to the pitch to meet their heroes. Well, here is one kid who has it the other way around. Rashed Belhasa is a resident of Dubai and is the son of Dubai construction tycoon Saif Ahmed Belhasa, and regularly hangs out with a host of sporting celebrities. Despite being just 14 years of age, Belhasa already co-owns a fashion line and grows some exotic pets as well, including lions and tigers.
Rashed started gaining popularity when he first shared a picture of himself meeting with former Spanish footballer Michel Salgado, and then with Alessandro del Piero. The 14-year-old has even met Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Fast forward three years from his meeting with Salgado, Rashed has met almost all of the current generation footballers that include Barcelona’s Leo Messi, Neymar, Andres Iniesta, Luis Suarez and even Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez and Luka Modric.
The list just keeps going on. Apart from footballers, Rashed has met a number of pop celebrities like Jackie Chan, Wiz Khalifa, Paris Hilton and more.
Rashed is extremely popular on Instagram and YouTube. Many celebrities who fly to Dubai want to meet this young entrepreneur and despite his hectic schedule, he tries his best to meet as many of them as possible. It is his clothing line KA-1 that he co-owns with Dubai-based model turned actor Ross Mackay that has put him in the limelight.
This clothing line is very popular in the celebrity world and is one of the reasons why he gets such high profile visitors. In an interview with The National, Rashed threw some light on his life.
“They all want to spend time on our family farm and see our tigers, Wiz Khalifa is my friend. Steve Aoki is my friend. They have all come to our farm. But sometimes I have to say no to celebrities who want to come here. I don’t have the time and it is tiring."
His agent handles the celebrities who wants to meet him and if Rashed can’t fit someone into his schedule then it is his agent who breaks the bad news.
In addition to managing his fashion empire, Rashed studies at the International School of Arts and Sciences in Dubai. He is also a huge fan of Michale Jordan and owns 70 pairs of Air Jordan shoes, with 15 of them being from the Original (OG) series and the rest from the retro collection. He loves sneakers and his collection is a huge hit with the celebrities he hosts.
