New deal on the horizon?

One of the players with whom Jose Mourinho doesn’t share a great relationship is Anthony Martial. The Frenchman was on the verge of leaving the Old Trafford but the board didn’t want to let go of him, even though Mourinho was open to the idea.

Instead, the top hierarchy at the Old Trafford are offering him a new contract, which not only shows how much they rate him but also puts them in a financially strong position regarding the former Monaco starlet.

However, according to Mourinho, the deal is not official yet and there will have to be some wait before it happens.

"Martial - we have to wait for it to be official," Mourinho said. "At this moment it is not official."
