Kiko Casilla - 5/10

The Real Madrid shot-stopper was rendered helpless on both occasions of Numancia's goals, but even otherwise, Casilla didn't imbue confidence and his slack passing drew the ire of the fans.

Daniel Carvajal - 6.5/10

Laid a brilliant assist for the opener, but Carvajal is still some way off his best. The Spaniard has only recovered from a virus, and needs time to really get going. Painfully sloppy defending by him today.

Jesus Vallejo - 6.5/10

The youngster attempted to nick Numancia's passes in the final third with crucial interceptions and blocks, but was caught out whenever Numancia scored.

Nacho - 6/10

Even if Vallejo is absolved due to lack of first-team experience, Nacho doesn't warrant any excuse for letting in two goals against a second tier team. The centre-back failed to communicate by any means with the 21-year old and disappointed in his own lacklustre showing at the heart of Madrid backline.

Theo Hernandez - 6.5/10

The promise with which he arrived was on display today, albeit in only flashes and few dangerous attempts at goal. But Theo left a lot to be desired from the defensive front.

Marcos Llorente - 5/10

Llorente's stock sees no light of the day with another poor outing that might just sound the death knell. The Spanish youngster has consistently disappointed this season, and here's another clunker to add to his growing list.

Mateo Kovacic - 6.5/10

Kovac
Kovacic didn't influence the game as much as he would have liked to

The Croat couldn't maintain possession once Numancia upped their game and stuttered under pressure. The midfield looked terribly haphazard at times, and Kovacic couldn't do anything about it.

Lucas Vazquez - 8.5/10

The hero of the night, Vazquez just showed why he deserves more time on the field. Real Madrid's best performer against Numancia over both legs.

Marco Asensio - 7/10

Following a dip, Asensio is slowly getting into the groove again and it was evident on the night. Contributed actively in the attack, whereas the opening 45 minutes were his best in a long time. However, he was subbed off at the hour mark for Isco.

Dani Ceballos - 7/10

Another promising youngster with much to offer, Ceballos delivers another encouraging performance. He impressed when in possession while his off the ball movements was a matter of concern for the visitors. Needs more time on the field to continue developing.

Borja Mayoral - 7/10

Mayoral was deprived of proper service, but ensured his team-mates don't endure the same fate with a brilliant assist to Vazquez.

Substitutes:

Achraf Hakimi - 6/10

Replaced Carvajal at half-time, but could do nothing to justify the replacement. The Moroccan offered few and far between in the defence, and couldn't do much about the crosses.

Isco - 6.5/10

The former Malaga man impressed with his first-touches and sparkling runs, but couldn't produce anything of note to hand a win to his side.

Casemiro - 6/10

The man who once brought balance to the team, is suddenly lacking equilibrium himself. The Brazilian really needs to contemplate his disciplinary issues as another cheap yellow card endangered his participation in the latter stages of the competition.
