Jude Bellingham celebrates his winner for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid secured a dramatic 3-2 win against Barcelona in LaLiga at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, April 21.

Los Blancos entered this contest on the back of a good run of form. They were unbeaten in their seven games across competitions leading up to this one. In that time, they secured five wins and two draws.

Their last game saw Real defeat Manchester City 4-3 on penalties in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after the tie was 4-4 on aggregate. Carlo Ancelotti made a couple of changes to the lineup that played that game.

Real Madrid made a decent start to the contest and looked to attack from the start. However, they found themselves chasing the game after just six minutes on the clock. Raphinha provided an assist for Andreas Christensen to convert as Barcelona were 1-0 up. Their advantage lasted just 12 minutes though, as Pau Cubarsi fouled Lucas Vazquez and conceded a penalty.

Vinicius Junior stepped up and made no mistake as he brought Real Madrid on level terms. Los Blancos had two other shots on target apart from their goal but failed to add to their tally. Barcelona, too, had similar stats but were unable to score as the teams were tied 1-1 at half-time.

The second half saw Real Madrid take a slight back seat as they allowed Barcelona to come onto them, hoping to break forward on the counter. This meant they saw just 41% of the ball in the second half. However, Los Blancos still looked dangerous in the final third as they attempted eight shots with five of those on target.

Barcelona grabbed the lead in the 69th minute via Fermin Lopez but it lasted for merely four minutes. Vinicius turned provider and assisted Lucas Vazquez for him to score Real Madrid's second goal to make it 2-2 after 73 minutes. The game got slightly heated towards the end as players from both sides picked up bookings.

However, Real Madrid won the game at the death courtesy of Jude Bellingham's 91st minute goal. That said, let's take a look at the hosts' player ratings.
