Big move!

What’s the rumour?

According to reports from Diario GOL, Real Madrid have accepted a €130 million offer for Gareth Bale. The astronomical bid has come from an unnamed Chinese Super League side as per the report.

In case you didn’t know...

Los Blancos signed Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013. They had broken the transfer record - which was also held by them - when they paid €100 million for the Welshman.

The former Tottenham star had a great start to his career at the Santiago Bernabeu but has been on a downhill for the last 2 seasons. His injuries have been the main reason for this but the Madrid faithful don't care a bit about this.

They have been booing him now and then. They are not willing to give him another chance and want the club to sell him soon with a replacement coming in.

The heart of the matter

Real Madrid were waiting for the right offer to sell him according to Diario GOL. The report says that this is the best offer they have received so far and they are ready to sell him.

Gareth Bale, however, has reportedly straightaway rejected the move. The Welshman wants to fight for his place at the club or move to a European giant as per the report.

Rumour probability: 1/10

Diario GOL are not a very reliable source. They are known for making up random stuff and they hardly get anything right these days.

Author’s Take

Take this rumour with a pinch of salt. The part about Bale wanting to stay at Madrid or move to a European giant might be true but there is no possible way a Chinese Super League side would have made such a huge bid, especially with their new rules about signing players.
