What’s the story?

Real Madrid are reliant on Borja Mayoral, with Karim Benzema injured. The 20-year-old did take the chance offered to him vs Real Sociedad, by scoring 2 goals, but Zidane still wants to sign experienced players.

Daily Star reports suggest that Madrid have revived their interest in Alexis Sanchez and Harry Kane as they look to replace Benzema in the starting XI.

The Frenchman has been under fire for some time now and various reports suggested that senior players at the club were not happy with the sale of Morata.

The fans have also turned against the striker and are urging the club to sign a replacement. Zidane has also reportedly lost his patience with him and has asked Perez to get him Sanchez or Kane in January or next summer.

In case you didn’t know...

Karim Benzema is currently out injured and Real Madrid do not have any senior backup striker.

They sold their 2nd choice striker - Alvaro Morata to Chelsea in the summer, and Spaniard has been on fire at Stamford Bridge.

The heart of the matter

Real Madrid are interested in signing Alexis Sanchez and Harry Kane and are set to make a move for them soon.

Zidane is determined to have a replacement for Benzema signed in January or next summer.

What’s next?

Real Madrid will hold talks with Sanchez in January and he can sign a pre-contract with them straight away, as he is in the final months of his contract.

If Madrid wish to sign him in January itself, they'll have to agree a deal with Arsenal and that would cost them a lot!

Harry Kane, however, has a lot of years left on his current contract. He would easily cost them over £100 million as he is Tottenham's most important player.

He would be the 3rd Tottenham player they would sign in the last six years, following Luka Modric's and Gareth Bale's moves to Bernabeu.

Author’s Take

Alexis Sanchez and Harry Kane are both realistic targets for Real Madrid. While Sanchez might think twice before joining them (because he has played for Barcelona), Kane might jump on the opportunity if he's assured a starting XI spot.

The fact that they can sign Sanchez for free next summer, makes things even better for the Los Blancos.

Ronaldo too would love playing with him as they can keep inter-changing positions and it'll work like a charm.

As for Harry Kane, he too, would love playing at the Bernabeu. The Englishman would easily dominate La Liga and score a lot more than what he does right now.

Better service and more space is on offer for him and he could easily be the next Galactico signing for Real Madrid.
