Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva has been officially unvieled as a Real Madrid player following his £9.7 million from Cruzeiro. The 21-year old midfielder was introduced to the media and the club's fans at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Monday afternoon after passing the medical at the Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital.
Silva has signed 5-and-a-half year deal with the European Champions which keeps him at the Bernabeu until June 2020. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez welcomed him,

What's more, you have come here at a very important stage of the season” he said, “The search for talent, quality and sacrifice has resulted in the addition to the team of a player with huge potential for the present and the future, and who is from a country where football is a religion”.
“One of Brazil's best midfielders joins us today and he is eager to get going. Dear Lucas, you have come to Real Madrid at just 21 years of age having won the league title in your country. You were instrumental in helping Cruzeiro to important victories and all I ask of you is that from today onwards you give it your all for this shirt and this badge”.

The highly rated youngster spoke for the first time after completing his transfer,
