What's the story?

Real Madrid left-back, Sergi Reguilon, was seen mocking FC Barcelona talisman, Lionel Messi, during Los Blancos' clash with the Blaugrana in LaLiga last weekend.

In case you didn't know...

Days after knocking their bitter rivals out from the Copa del Rey, Barcelona came out winners once again against Real Madrid in LaLiga. It was Barcelona's third win over their arch-rivals and second in the Spanish capital in the current 2018-19 season.

Ivan Rakitic was the lone scorer as this defeat almost puts an end to Los Blancos' domestic campaign, leaving them to win the Champions League for the fourth consecutive time to avoid going trophy-less this season.

Barcelona sits at the top of the LaLiga table, 10 points ahead of 2nd placed Atletico and 12 ahead of Real Madrid. It was also Real Madrid's fourth consecutive Clasico defeat in the Santiago Bernabeu, and their 6th home defeat in the campaign - a record in this century.

Being one of the biggest fixtures of world football, the world witnessed clashes among the individuals as sparks went flying amidst a low scoring El Clasico - Sergio Ramos made the headlines as the captains of the respective teams clashed, but youngster Sergi Reguilon was not far behind as he took on both Messi and Suarez, verbally.

The heart of the matter

Among the many individual battles on the pitch, Sergio Reguilon versus the Barcelona forwards was one of the night. Luis Suarez was seen gesturing and mocking Reguilon, who cried after their previous 3-0 loss against Barcelona in the second leg of the Copa del Rey.

Sergio Reguilon hit back at the Uruguayan sharpshooter, calling him 'ugly' as quoted by Spanish outlet, Marca.

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, was quick to intervene and Reguilon reportedly turned to him and asked, "What's bothering you, flea?" in the final moments of the game.

Real Madrid will host Ajax in the Champions League, whereas Barcelona will face Girona in the Catalan Cup midweek and Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga, before facing Lyon in the Champions League.
