What's the story?
With Zinedine Zidane promising more activity in the coming transfer windows, Real Madrid fans are on the look-out for possible buys that could boost a team that has looked in need of some boosting all season-long. While the hard-fought win against Malaga temporarily closed the gap to arch-rivals Barcelona to 7 points, Los Blancos look in dire need of a dash of adrenaline.
If the good folk over at the Metro are to be believed - and you may want to take this with a pinch or two of salt - Madrid have identified the source from where they will procure said adrenaline and that's at Old Trafford, Manchester. As per the reports, Real Madrid are all set to launch a completely out-of-the-blue £80 million (€89.4 million) for United's grumpy-on-the-outside, absolutely-mirthful-on-the-inside forward, Anthony Martial.
Like I said, out of the damn blue, that!
In case you didn't know
Anthony Martial has been on fire this season - when coming off the bench, especially - and has already bagged 7 goals and 4 assists this term, his dancing feet providing the kind of spark that Old Trafford hungers for everytime they come out to watch their team play
And he's translated that into form for the international team as well... this is just delicious

The heart of the matter
We often forget that Martial is still just 21 years old... an impatient world unwilling to give even the most talented of lads any time to find his feet at the big stage; but Zinedine Zidane is a man who knows brilliance when he sees it, and if these reports are to be believed is willing to put a great deal of money on that belief.

If those two tweets merely whetted your appetite, here's more Martial magic:
As he continues to improve and win more and more people over, his pure talent becomes harder and harder to ignore.
Author's take
Anthony Martial could be just what Madrid need to spark up their attack that has a pretty weird feel of familiarity to it... but United will not let him go without a fight and with Martial signed on at United on a long-term contract, Los Blancos will not find this an easy transfer to make.
