Real Madrid news: Cristiano Ronaldo gets angry at Gareth Bale after another frustrating outing

Ronaldo lost his cool again

Cristiano Ronaldo is not in a happy place at the moment. The Portuguese is going through a dry spell by his standards and his frustration can be seen on the pitch with his body language and his actions not being very positive.

In the latest of what has become a staple of his behaviour, the forward angrily reacted to a Gareth Bale shot during the game against Leganes. The Welshman was on a hat-trick and had the right to go for goal but Ronaldo was unmarked at the far post.

Bale’s shot was saved by the goalkeeper as Ronaldo reacted in angry fashion towards Bale for not passing the ball to him when he had made himself available. It’s no secret that neither Ronaldo nor his teammates are in a happy dressing room at the moment.

Real Madrid are still top of the La Liga table but these heated exchanges between teammates are not healthy. Zinedine Zidane has downplayed any disparity in the dressing room and is backing Ronaldo to rediscover his form but it has been five long games since he’s scored at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo has reportedly had confrontations with both James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos. He had a bust up at the training ground with Rodriguez a few weeks ago after an argument and was on the receiving end of Kroos' complaints during one of Madrid's games as well.

Real Madrid are still unbeaten this season in all competitions and had Gareth Bale to thank yesterday for keeping them top of the table. The Welshman continued his rich vein of scoring form with another brace.

Bale recently signed a new contract with the club and is now the highest paid player in the team. But Ronaldo is set to overtake his teammate after it was announced he will sign a new contract later today at an official event.

The club revealed that he will sign a contract that will keep him at the club until 2021, which means he will be 36 by that time. Los Blancos are taking a huge gamble with the new deal considering Ronaldo’s decline in form as well as his age.

The Portuguese is now 31 and is currently second top scorer for Madrid along with Bale. Alvaro Morata is currently top scorer despite most of his appearances being off the bench. He did start yesterday’s game with Karim Benzema currently ruled out due to injury.
