David De Gea set to become world's highest paid goalkeeper

Despite starting the World Cup on a bad note against Portugal, David De Gea will be pleased by the happenings on the club front. It is reported that Manchester United are close to agreeing upon a new five year deal with the custodian, ending all rumours of his exit from Old Trafford.

According to Marca, United want to make De Gea the highest paid goalkeeper in the world and have started negotiations in that regard. United are ready to offer €21 million per year in wages to the goalkeeper for the next five years. Manuel Neuer currently earns €15 million per year at Bayern Munich.

Jose Mourinho has long wanted to solve the future of De Gea with Real Madrid lurking every summer. With this new deal, United hope that the Spaniard's future will be resolved for once and all.

Liverpool step up Nick Pope chase

With Alisson Becker closing in on a move to Real Madrid and Jan Oblak being highly expensive, Liverpool have reportedly turned their attention towards Burnley's Nick Pope. The Mirror reports that Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit of the English goalkeeper and intend to make Pope their new no.1 goalkeeper.

Burnley value Pope at around €18 million. Liverpool have reportedly done background checks on the Clarets goalkeeper and have been impressed by his showings in the Premier League last season. He was one of the best players between the sticks in the 2017/18 season and was also named as Burnley's player of the year.

Will Pjanic move to Barcelona?

FC Barcelona contact Miralem Pjanic

Mundo Deportivo reports that FC Barcelona have contacted Miralem Pjanic over a summer move. Improving their midfield is now the club's priority after being left red-faced by Griezmann's rejection. Pjanic is Barcelona's no.1 target.

It is believed that Barcelona have scouted Pjanic since his AS Roma days and now want him to succeed Andres Iniesta. The creative midfielder is also interested in a move to La Liga and is valued at €70 million by the Bianconeri.

Manchester City close to striking a deal for Jorginho

A £46.4 million fee has reportedly been agreed between Manchester City and Napoli for the transfer of Jorginho, reports Sky Sports. The Italian midfielder has already agreed personal terms with City and is waiting for the remaining issues to be sorted before he boards a plane to Manchester.

Bonuses and payment schedules are yet to be agreed upon by the two sides. Jorginho is currently holidaying in Brazil.

Arsenal to sign Bernd Leno in the next few hours

Bernd Leno is on his way to London and Kicker claims that the German goalkeeper will have his Arsenal medical tonight. A €25 million fee has already been agreed between the two parties with Leno now ready to become Arsenal's new no.1 goalkeeper. Leno made 233 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen and rejected Napoli and Atletico Madrid for a move to Arsenal.

Hoffenheim name Andrej Kramaric price

After three successful seasons at Hoffenheim, the club is ready to offload striker Andrej Kramaric at a right price. With Bayern Munich and Newcastle United keeping tabs, Goal reports that Hoffenheim have kept Kramaric's valuation at €50 million.

Hoffenheim’s sporting director Alexander Rosen has revealed that a right offer will be enough to tempt them into selling the Croatian striker. Kramaric has scored 102 goals for Hoffenheim in 179 appearances.

Real Madrid's refusal to bow down to Cristiano Ronaldo's wage demands along with his tax evasion charges in the country may finally make the Portuguese hitman to change loyalties. PSG know about Ronaldo's situation and are ready to hijack Manchester United's move for the talismanic forward.

According to Don Balon, PSG have prepared a €100 million + Edinson Cavani offer to lure Real Madrid into letting Ronaldo go. The Parisians are also keen on keeping Ronaldo happy by offering him €45 million per year in wages.

Star trio commit their future to Atletico Madrid

The French trio of Antoine Griezmann, Lucas Hernandez and Thomas Lemar have all committed their futures to Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros' chiefs were recently in Russia to complete a massive coup. Griezmann has officially penned a new deal with the club until 2023.

PSV Eindhoven value Lozano at around €50 million with Everton also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old.

CSKA Moscow reject Juventus' opening bid for Aleksandr Golovin

Another World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin has attracted attention from Juventus. The Bianconeri are said to be the favourites to land the Russian superstar. But Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that CSKA Moscow has rejected Juventus' bid of €18 million for Golovin. The Russian giants are holding out for a fee of €25 million + bonuses for the youngster.
