Real Madrid's Ronaldo declared fit for Osasuna match, Bale and Benzema doubtful

Cristiano Ronaldo declared fit for Osasuna clash

Cristiano Ronaldo will be available for the clash against Osasuna on Saturday as stated by coach Carlo Ancelotti in his pre-match press conference.

In the wake of Real Madrid’s shortage in attacking options, the Portuguese winger will feature in the staring lineup at the Bernabeu while both Bale and Benzema remain as doubts for the clash.

Real’s manager Ancelotti released the following statement in his press conference.

“[Ronaldo] finished the game well and needs to play,” Ancelotti said. “Tomorrow he will start. We have doubts with Karim, who took a blow to his knee, and also with Pepe. If Benzema has problems then I will put in [Alvaro] Morata, who is in very good form and has scored when he has played. Bale is still a bit weak. Tomorrow we will make a decision about him.”

First choice left back Marcelo will be available in the encounter while Morata, Illaramendi, Casemiro and Nacho Fernandez will serve as replacements.

“The team will change a little but not much, because the game against Osasuna is important,” Ancelotti said. “We are trying to recover energy and to be focused because we are in the battle for the league title. The objective is to win all our games. It is not easy, as we used a lot of energy against Bayern. Physically we are not at 100 percent.”

Real Madrid will have to overcome Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday to book a Champions League final berth at Lisbon.
