Roma set to bid for Manchester United's Ashley Young in January
Ashley Young's contract at Manchester United expires this summer, and the 33-year-old hasn't put pen to paper on a new deal yet, despite being offered a new one-year contract.
The Englishman has been in no hurry to extend his stay at the Old Trafford-based club, and has reportedly alerted Serie A giants, Roma, who are believed to be keen on reinforcing their side in January.
According to reports from The Sun, Roma are seriously planning a January move for Young. It has also been suggested that should the deal not fall into place, Roma could still lure Young with a pre-contract agreement, that will eventually see him move to Italy, but as a free agent in the summer, at the end of his contract.
Naturally, unless Young signs a new contract, Manchester United's best option would be to sell him in January instead of seeing him leave for free in the summer.
