Gareth Bale to extend his contract?
Julen Lopetegui cannot afford to lose two stars in one transfer window so it’s natural that Real Madrid are doing everything they can to keep Gareth Bale at the club. The Welshman started well but had a spell of injuries which resulted in patchy form.
The fans have been pretty vocal when Bale hasn’t fired and that created a few doubts as to whether he was happy at the club. Lopetegui, however, has calmed the situation and revealed that Bale is central to the Real Madrid attack.
Bale finished last season on a high after scoring twice in the Champions League final against Liverpool and could be offered a new next summer.
