Arbeloa speaks on Gareth Bale
Former Real Madrid star Alvaro Arbeloa has come out to defend Gareth Bale. The forward has been criticized a lot of late and Arbeloa thinks that he hasn’t been able to “sell” his commitment to the fans.
Arbeloa also revealed that the Welshman can speak Spanish but doesn’t like to show it off in the media. He also added that he gets criticized way too much for someone who has scored so many important goals for the Merengues since his arrival from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2013.
“I think Bale has not been able to sell his commitment towards Real Madrid to the outside world”, the former Real Madrid defender said.
“He can speak Spanish, but he doesn’t feel comfortable doing it with the media.
“He has scored some very important goals for the club and I feel that he gets criticised so much.”
