Madrid want to sell
And that is really obvious, isn’t it? The stories in the transfer market have linked many players to the Galacticos, ranging from Eden Hazard in the Premier League to Ferland Mendy in Ligue 1.
However, what we seem to overlook is the fact that the Merengues will have to generate some money from sales of their existing stars – and that is what they are planning to do.
According to Marca, the Blancos are planning to raise over €300 million in sales. The three names that they are currently focused on are Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Isco.
Madrid think that they could get over €60 million for Isco and around €70 million for Gareth Bale. James Rodriguez, too, is expected to bring in money in that range as Madrid also hope to raise cash from the sales of Dani Ceballos, Marcos Llorente, Lucas Vazquez, Mariano, Jesus Vallejo, Mateo Kovacic, Raul De Tomas and Mayoral.
