Neymar has reiterated that he will remain with Brazilian club Santos beyond the end of the European transfer window.
With speculations raising eyebrows about Neymar’s possible move to Real Madrid, all confusions were put to rest on Saturday when Santos Coach Muricy Ramalho stated that Neymar will not be leaving the club until after the Club World Cup at the earliest.
“What I said is that Neymar will not move away this year. He will stay until at least the Club World Cup because it is very important for us to win,” said Muricy.
This statement comes couple of days after Neymar confessed to his Brazilian teammates that he is moving to Real Madrid. But he did not say when. Meanwhile Real Madrid has gone farther, claiming that the deal for Neymar’s transfer has been struck and the 19 year old would be moving to Bernabeu in this transfer window.
However Muricy also hints about Neymar;s possible move when he stated that he is not sure about what the Brazilian forward will do after the Club world Cup. “After that I do not know what will happen. I don’t think he will stay with Santos forever.”
Moreover Neymar’s agent Wagner Ribeiro also came out with a statement that the youngster is going to stay on with Santosh for another year till April 2012, when Santosh celebrates its centenary year.
“I am working hard to ensure Neymar stays at Santos for another year,” Ribeiro told Brazilian newspaper Folha. “This is what he wants. He wants to play in the Club World Cup in December and to take part in Santos’ centenary celebrations (in April 2012). We are going to work to make everyone happy, but for Neymar, he wants one more year and then Madrid.”
Neymar is currently under contract with Santos until 2014, and has a buy-out clause of 45 million euro which five European clubs have been reported to match but neither the club nor the player intents to part ways at this point of time.
