Zidane pens down new contract

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that he has signed a new contract with the club which will be made public in next few days.

Speaking ahead of the game against Real Betis, Zidane said, “In terms of the renewal, it’s already done, but it doesn’t mean anything. I care about the day today and I‘m not looking further than that, this is complicated.”

Zidane is set to be focused on extending the stay for all the key players first before agreeing a new deal for himself.

Real Madrid have agreed new deals with Isco, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo so far this summer and are expected to announce Marco Asensio's improved contract later this month.

Zidane has changed the club's Galacticos approach and instead is focusing on strengthening the core group of the squad, the focus has been on bringing in young players from Spain.

His efforts have landed Real Madrid two back-to-back Champions League titles and a La Liga success last season.

Ronaldo is against Madrid signing Lewandowski

Please Ronnie, let me come to Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo does not want Real Madrid to sign any other top quality centre-forward as he wants to make the number 9 position his own in coming seasons, according to Don Balon.

According to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski is pushing for a move to Real Madrid, however, Ronaldo has vetoed against the transfer and warned the club to not go ahead with the transfer.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague told Sky Sports, “Lewandowski wants to go to Real Madrid, It’s 100 percent certain, no matter what he says or his agent says. “But the problem is, it’s not going to be easy."

Real Madrid are not a team to take gambles on a 30-year-old forward and with Ronaldo eying the striker's position, it is widely anticipated that Eden Hazard will be Zidane's main transfer target for next season.

Harry Kane wanted at the Bernabeu

Kane has scored 30 goals in 30 matches in 2017

Real Madrid are eyeing an audacious January swoop for Tottenham's Harry Kane according to reports from Daily Express as Florentino Perez is ready to spend big next year.

Real Madrid's weak start to the season has got the club President worried over Zidane's method of investing in youth and Perez could make a marquee signing to bring stability at the Bernabeu.

Alexis Sanchez was widely reported as the main target in January, however, Arsenal's stubbornness in not selling the Chilean star may push Real to seek other options.

Kane has been in fine form in 2017 scoring 30 goals in as many matches and is widely regarded as one of the modern day great strikers.

It would, of course, cost the club a fortune to sign Kane, however, Real Madrid are not a team to run away from a bidding war.
