Germany international Julian Draxler has recently expressed his desire to leave Wolfsburg and every club will probably start lining up for his signature. Real Madrid are rumoured to be one of those parties interested.
So far, Zidane has not been the busiest of bees in the transfer window with Alvaro Morata the only notable arrival. The Frenchman has admitted to wanting midfielder Paul Pogba but that deal does not look likely to take shape.
There are other names that have been thrown in the mix including PSG’s Marco Verrati and Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko, but the former has already committed his future to his club and the latter’s erratic from is a concern for Zidane
Los Blancos certainly need strengthening in the midfield position and Julian Draxler might prove to be a worthy addition to the squad. The likes of Isco and James Rodiguez have not convinced Zidane yet but Draxler had a good Euro Campaign and certainly brings quality.
The only doubt over his move will be whether he will get the playing time he needs. The club already have several options in midfield and Draxler’s preferred position the left wing is currently occupied by Gareth Bale.
It will take some doing to knock the Welshman out from the first XI and Ronaldo is certainly not going to budge either. He might have to settle for an attacking midfield role but that is not where he thrives.
But Perez is known for disregarding what the squad needs and what he player he wants to buy so the likeliness of this transfer is still up for debate. Arsenal have also been admirers of the winger for the last few years now.
Wenger is in need of reinforcements in order to try and challenge for the title in what might be his last season at the club. But they are also in talks with Riyad Mahrez and it currently might not work out for Draxler moving to the Gunners.
