Following a shock defeat to Espanyol in their last outing, Real Madrid faced Getafe in the La Liga. Los Blancos took some time to get into the groove and with their first shot on goal they went into the lead in the 24th minute through Gareth Bale.

Zinedine Zidane's men then doubled the lead at the stroke of half-time as Cristiano Ronaldo slotted it home with a sublime finish. Getafe started the second half in a better fashion but suffered a setback when Loic Remy was sent off for a second bookable offence.

The visitors did pull one back as they were awarded a penalty in the 64th minute and Francisco Portillo made no mistake from the spot. In the end, Madrid proved to be too strong for Getafe as Ronaldo secured his second of the game to secure a hard-fought win and the three points.

Keylor Navas - 7/10

The Costa Rican goalkeeper had very little to do throughout the game apart from making some comfortable saves. He was unable to stop Portillo from scoring from the spot but finished the game with an impressive passing accuracy of 92%.

Sergio Ramos - 7/10

The Madrid captain produced a strong performance and had a hand in the build-up to Madrid's third goal. The Spaniard also completed aerial duels with a success rate of 75%.

Nacho - 6.5/10

The central defender made five interceptions but did not have a great game when it came to the disciplinary front as he received a yellow card and conceded the penalty by fouling Jorge Molina in the 64th Minute. He should have been sent off for a tug on Molina's shirt which went unnoticed by the referee

Theo Hernández - 7/10

The French left-back put in a solid shift in the defence and combined well with Los Blancos' attackers. He made way for the returning Marcelo in the 65th minute.

Daniel Carvajal - 7/10

The right-back was a constant threat to the Getafe defence with his marauding runs and created two chances as well. The Spaniard was sound with his defending, committing just one foul throughout the game.

Isco - 7.5/10

With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos out injured, Isco donned the playmaker's role for Madrid and assisted Bale for breaking the deadlock in the 24th minute. The former Malaga man completed the game with a passing accuracy of 89%.

Marcos Llorente - 7/10

The Madrid academy graduate had an assured performance sitting in front of the defence. He completed one take-on and made two crucial blocks and was substituted in the 78th minute.

Casemiro - 7/10

Contrary to his usual playing position, the Brazilian played in a more advanced role against Getafe and produced a fine performance. He also made three interceptions, of which one was inside the Madrid penalty box.

Karim Benzema - 7/10

Much like Madrid, the Frenchman had a quiet start and slowly grew into the game. He set up Ronaldo for Madrid's second goal and completed three take-ons throughout his 90 minutes on the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo - 9/10

The Portuguese forward was at his influential best and with a moment of magic produced a brilliant goal to double Madrid's advantage towards the end of the first half. He had a goal disallowed for a foul on the Getafe defender and made amends for it by sealing all three points with a headed goal in the 78th minute. He was withdrawn shortly after securing his brace.

Gareth Bale - 8/10

Bale put on a strong display for Los Blancos, breaking the deadlock for them with a cool finish in the first half. The Welshman almost doubled his tally with a curling effort, but unfortunately, went off the post. He created three chances and completed two take-ons throughout the game.

Substitutes

Marcelo - 7.5/10

Returning from injury, the Brazilian full-back was right back into the into the thick of things with some strong runs and crosses into the box and created six chances. Despite coming in the 65th minute, Marcelo completed five take-ons and assisted Ronaldo for his second and Madrid's third goal to secure the three points.

The young Spaniard come in as a replacement for Ronaldo in the 79th minute just after the third goal.

Matteo Kovacic - N/A

Came in the 79th minute to replace Llorente and helped Madrid see out the game with ease.
