Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen is said to have snubbed a new deal offered to him by Tottenham Hotspur in November, according to reports emanating from the players native land. If reports from Danish newspaper BT are to be believed, Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots has told Spurs that the Danish international would like to wait till the end of the season before committing to any kind of long-term future at White Hart Lane.

Eriksen has struggled with consistency during his time at North London since his arrival on the English coast in the summer of 2013. The Denmark international however has been one of the star performers in the Lily Whites’ ranks in a season that has can only be described as subdued with Tottenham stuck in 10th place in the table.

Eriksen has raked in 5 goals in 15 appearances for Tottenham so far this season and there will be no shortage of suitors if Eriksen makes any noise regarding a want of a move away from Spurs. The youngster was named Tottenham’s player of the season last year in his debut season in the Premier League.

The ex-Ajax prodigy is still only 22 and was courted by nearly all the major powerhouses across Europe before he, to everyone’s surprise joined Andres-Vilas Boas’ Spurs team last season for a fee believed to be around £11.5m.

In fact, in 2013, Eriksen’s agent had told the media that the talented youngster would only leave Ajax for a club that would be regular in the Champions League. Thus, Eriksen’s future would be one worth keeping an eye on if Spurs fail to make the top four.
