Arsenal have made a move for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira with an offer worth €30 million, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Los Blancos and reportedly interested in Khedira are the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool. However, it seems that Arsene Wenger has made the first move for the midfielder and will offer €30 million (£24m) for his services.

The German international was forced to have surgery on a significant injury, but managed to make the World Cup and has played a big part in Germany’s tournament so far. Wenger will have to make a move as soon as possible, however, with United and Chelsea also keen suitors. Mourinho’s side may be out of the race however, after signing Cesc Fabregas recently.

Carlo Ancelotti is looking to get rid of his man and there are reports that a number of clubs have already opened preliminary talks. The Italian wants to get rid of Khedira as quickly as possible as he eyes up potential replacements for the Germany international.

Real Madrid are eying a move for anothe box-to-box star, Chelsea midfielder Ramires, and it seems that the Brazilian’s arrival at the Bernabeu could spell the end of Khedira’s time at Los Blancos.
