What's the story?

According to the Mirror, Barcelona are reportedly interested in Manchester United academy star, Joshua Bohui, who is currently a part of their Under-23 team.

In case you didn't know...

Joshua Bohui joined Manchester United from Brentford in 2016 and is among the highest-rated youngsters at the club. He played 13 Premier League 2 games this season and registered three goals and two assists.

His current contract with the Red Devils will expire at the end of the current season and the youngster reportedly rejected the new four-year contract with doubts over a clear pathway into the first-team

He regularly featured for the United during the pre-season but is yet to play a competitive game for the club.

The heart of the matter

The Mirror claims, Manchester United are in danger of losing teenager Josh Bohui who is regarded as one of their best young prospects.

Barcelona and AS Monaco are interested in taking the Englishmen away from the Old Trafford and are keeping a close watch on the youngster.

United offered Bohui a new four-year contract last April which was turned down before a fresh offer was made a month later. However, he rejected that as well and is now looking for a move away from Old Trafford.

Bohui already represented England at under-17 and played in the European Championships while he scored regularly for United’s under-23s and trained with the first team.

Rumour Ratings - 5/10

Bohui is frustrated with the lack of opportunities given to him at the United and could leave the club upon the expiration of his current contract for regular first-team minutes.

However, Barcelona already have a number of established strikers in their squad and might not guarantee him much action on the pitch, which could possibly make him look at the other options.

What's next?

Manchester United are yet to witness a defeat under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and will be looking forward to maintaining that record when they play Tottenham later today.

On the other hand, Barcelona are currently at the top of the LaLiga table and will host Eibar at the Camp Nou next.
