Reports: Delight For Arsenal as Ozil, Cazorla and Walcott could all play v Norwich

Cazorla-Return

Arsene Wenger has been handed a significant injury boost ahead of Arsenal’s game with Norwich at the weekend, with the news that he is likely to welcome back two of his injured players, and that injury worries over Arsenal players on international duty were overstated. The Daily Express reports that Santi Cazorlaand Theo Walcott are likely to return from injury at the weekend, and that both Mesut Ozil and Wojciech Szczesny will shrug off knocks sustained in last night’s international fixtures.

England winger Walcott last played in Arsenal’s Champions League win over Marseilles on 18th September, but is in line for a return after overcoming an abdomen problem. Fellow midfielder Cazorla has been out since the start of September with an ankle ligament injury, but is also stepping up his return this weekend.

Both men may have to settle for substitute appearances, such has been the form of the team in their absence. Since Cazorla sustained his injury the Gunners have signed Mesut Ozil, and fans will be excited at the prospect of the duo finally linking up.

Such a prospect looked remote when Ozil was substituted with a knee injury during international duty with Germany last night. However, the injury isn’t as bad as first feared, and the former Real Madrid man is likely to recover in time for Norwich.

Another player who caused an injury scare was goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. He is also expected to recover from his knock, explaining his injury as; “He [Danny Welbeck] just stood on my hand, but it was nothing serious.”
