Reports: Former Manchester United manager David Moyes under investigation for alleged pub assault

David Moyes reportedly involved in bar scuffle

Police are said to be investigating an alleged scuffle which took place at the Emporium wine bar in Clitheroe, Lancashire, England.

Unfortunately former Manchester United manager David Moyes was having a drink with a friend at the wine bar when the incident took place.

There is speculation that Moyes might be one of the individuals who started the bar brawl.

The police department from Lancashire Constabulary reported: “Police are investigating a report of an assault at the Emporium wine bar in Clitheroe.”

They later added, “Officers attended the bar at about 10pm on Wednesday and it was reported that a 23-year-old local man had been assaulted by a 51-year-old man. He did not require hospital treatment.”

Police will now study the CCTV pictures and if necessary would call all the people at the bar for questioning.

For now David Moyes can relax as the police has ordered no arrest until the final investigation is carried out. This is what they said, “There are a number of differing accounts which we need to work through to try to establish exactly what has happened. No-one has been arrested at this stage.”
