According to Metro, Manchester United begin talks to sign the Dutch winger, Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven.
In case you didn't know...
Steven Bergwijn is one of the most highly rated youngsters in the Eredivisie and impressed one and all with his performances. He registered nine goals and eight assists in 17 league games thus far this season and made his international debut for the Netherlands in October.
He was scouted by Manchester United and Liverpool earlier this season and they are both keeping close tabs on the PSV Eindhoven youngster.

The Heart of the matter
According to reports, Manchester United opened talks with PSV over a deal for Steven Bergwijn.
The Metro claims, United contacted PSV to discuss a deal for Bergwijn but they face competition from Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Inter. The Dutch midfielder is valued at around £25 million and is under contract with PSV until 2022.
But the Red Devils might have to wait till the summer for a potential deal with Bergwijn, who insisted he wants to stay with PSV until the end of the season.

With Alexis Sanchez struggling to perform consistently at the moment, the Red Devils will be in a market for a winger during the summer transfer window. However, with big clubs like Liverpool and Bayern Munich also in contention to sign him, United's qualification for the Champions League next season will play a key role in signing Bergwijn.

Manchester United are currently unbeaten under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and will be looking forward to extending that run when they host Burnley at Old Trafford on January 30.
