Rio Olympics 2016: Brazil confirm 18 man squad for the Olympics, Neymar included

Brazil have confirmed their squad for the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympics and the list includes the likes of Barcelona superstar Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos and Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa.

The South American side were eliminated from the group stages of the recently concluded 2016 Copa America Centenario, which was won by Chile. After the tournament, Brazil sacked their coach Dunga and replaced him with Tite.

Neymar was one of the players to be dropped from the squad for the Copa America and now he has returned to the squad. For the tournament, Rogerio Micale will be coaching the national team and he has confirmed his 18-man squad for the upcoming global event on home soil.

A statement read on Brazil football's official website, "The coach Rogério Micale called the Olympic Brazilian team to compete in the Rio 2016 Games were related 18 players who will in search of unprecedented winning the gold medal for Brazil.

"The delegation presents to the last period of preparation on 18 July. Will be nine days of Comary Granja before shipment to Goiania on 27 for the last friendly of the dispute before the premiere in competition. The match will be against Japan, at Serra Dourada Stadium, on 30 July.

"On day 4, the Brazilian National Team begins his walk for gold against South Africa in Brasilia. Then, on 7, again in Brasilia National Stadium, the team coach Roger Micale facing Iraq. The closure of the first phase for Brazil will be against Denmark on 10, this time in Salvador, Fonte Nova Arena."
