Robert Lewandowski moved to tears in his last Dortmund home game

Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski, played his last home game for Borussia Dortmund as he is set to join Bayern Munich next season, having signed a contract six months back. He spent four seasons at the club, winning two Bundesliga titles, a DFB Pokal Cup and a runners-up finish in the Champions League. Another final awaits in the DFB Pokal, against you know who. Lewandowski has also won a number of individual honours at Dortmund, and is set to win one more right here at Outside of the Boot.

While most fans remain angered at players leaving the club, Dortmund’s faithful knew for six months that Lewandowski was leaving the club but continued to support him while the player himself continued to put in committed performances throughout. The fans and the club showed their appreciation for Lewandowski which moved the striker to tears as his emotions got the better of him.

The video was posted on the official Bundesliga YouTube channel.
