Roberto Martinez spotted at Holland training scouting Man United target Bruno Martins Indi

Everton manager Roberto Martinez was spotted at Holland’s training camp earlier this week, supposedly scouting a number of players, such as Man United target Bruno Martins Indi as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Blues boss was at the Dutch’s training centre as they prepared for the World Cup and spotted speaking intensely with former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

It is thought that Martinez, who guided Everton a fifth in the Premier League last season, was watching a number of players thought to be Jeremain Lens, Stefan de Vrij and Bruno Martins Indi.

With Everton just missing out on the top four in his first full season, Martinez will be hoping he’s given extra money to spend by the board to give it another push and try and overtake Arsenal, who seem like the most likely team to be threatened by teams outside of the top four.

Martins Indi is a wanted man by many clubs around Europe, with Man Unitedone interested party, while Everton’s city neighbours, Liverpool, have also been linked with de Vrij over the past 12 to 18 months.

It is was believed that they would make a bid for him last summer and then possibly in the January transfer market but it seems that they have pressed ahead with other targets after exceeding their own expectations last season.

Indi has completed 86% of his passes.
