Samuel Eto'o enjoyed outstanding success in his playing career and represented some of the biggest clubs in the world like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea, amongst others. The Cameroonian hitman was hailed as one of the best strikers in the world in his prime and is widely regarded as the greatest African footballer of all time.

Having won the UEFA Champions League as part of Pep Guardiola's all-conquering side in 2009, Eto'o won the competition once again a year later, with Inter Milan. In doing so, the legendary striker became the first player in history to win successive continental trebles with two different clubs. He also became only the fourth player in history after Marcel Desailly, Paulo Sousa and Gerard Pique to win the competition in successive seasons with two different clubs.

Eto'o retired in 2019 with an impressive 15 major trophies to his name over the course of a career spanning nearly two decades.

A legendary midfielder who won trophies aplenty over the course of his career, Clarance Seedorf is one of the greatest players in UEFA Champions League history. The Dutchman is the only player to have won the competition with three different clubs, having successfully done so with Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

A box-to-box midfielder by trade, Seedorf was an intimidating presence in the center of the park and was capable of playing in multiple positions due to his versatility and tactical intelligence. Having made his debut in 1992, he carried on playing for over two decades, indicating that he was one of the fittest footballers in his prime.

Seedorf retired in 2014 after a two-year stint with Botafogo and endured an unsuccessful stint as AC Milan manager immediately after hanging up his boots.
