Arsenal offered chance to sign Serie A striker

According to Tuttosport, Arsenal have been given the chance to sign Juventus striker Disan Vlahovic for €60 million.

Vlahovic is set to be available in the market in the summer and the Bianconerri already have potential replacements in mind. Hence, signing Vlahovic wouldn't be difficult for the Gunners, given they are willing to match his asking price.

As per the aforementioned source, the north Londoners will also have to offer Vlahovic a €12 million-a-year contract. The Serbia international was linked with a move to the Gunners before his January 2022 move to Turin.

He had a notable spell with Fiorentina before joining Juventus. However, since his move to the Allianz Stadium, Vlahovic hasn't been able to replicate his best form. He has so far scored 40 times in 94 appearances for the Serie A giants, including 17 goals in 31 appearances this season.

Arsenal are expected to move for a new striker in the summer. The team have struggled without an out-and-out goal-getter. Neither Gabriel Jesus nor Eddie Nketiah has been consistent.

Vlahovic, despite his recent form, is still only 24 and has room to improve in the Premier League. While his reported €60 million price tag isn't cheap by any means, it would be less than what the Gunners would have to spend on their other striker targets like Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres.

Rivaldo expresses concern about Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus has often been used as a substitute by Mikel Arteta this season. The Brazilian hasn't been among the goals as well, scoring eight times in 32 appearances this season.

Rivaldo reckons Jesus' recent situation at Arsenal could cost the player his spot in Brazil's national team. The 2002 FIFA World Cup winner said (via One Football):

"When you lose your space within the club, it hinders your chance in the Brazilian national team, and that is a concern for Gabriel Jesus at the moment."

Rivaldo added:

"Plus, when you haven't scored many goals, it hurts even more for a striker."

Jesus has already signaled that he could decide not to play in the upcoming Copa America 2024. The striker is contemplating having surgery to fix the long-term knee injury he has been suffering from.
