Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo has been sued by UK-based cosmetic doctor Roshan Ravindran over a £40,000 unpaid bill, according to The Sun. The doctor allegedly treated Ronaldo while the latter was with Manchester United between 2021 and 2022. Ravindran reportedly specializes in Botox and fillers, skincare, and eyebrow lifting.
Ravindran reportedly mentioned Ronaldo in a formal court form. However, he didn’t mention Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodriguez, but he alleged he offered services for the Al-Nassr man and his family and entourage at his Cheshire clinic.
The doctor commented on the case, saying:
"There is an ongoing legal matter, and, as a professional, I do not discuss my patients."
A source close to The Sun also said:
“Dr Rosh is highly respected and is the silent expert behind figures including top politicians, royalty, sports stars and Hollywood icons. When it comes to procedures like botox and fillers, Dr Rosh is undeniably the number one choice. His clientele value absolute discretion as well as world-class treatments.”
Through the ongoing legal matter, Cristiano Ronaldo is focused on Al-Nassr and will next be in action against Al-Gharafa in the AFC Champions League tomorrow, November 25.
When Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly sued for $1 billion after promoting NFTs from crypto exchange Binance
In November 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly hit with a representative action lawsuit for promoting non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from Binance. In November 2022, the crypto platform announced the CR7 NFT collection done in partnership with Ronaldo.
The cheapest NFT from the collection was allegedly priced between $77 and $10,000. It featured seven animated statues depicting Ronaldo’s iconic moments, from bicycle kick goals to his childhood in Portugal.
However, a year later, he had a lawsuit filed against him. According to BBC, the plaintiff claimed Ronaldo’s endorsement led them to make loss-making investments. Consequently, they demanded damages exceeding $1 billion (£790m).
They alleged that Ronaldo’s endorsement of Binance led to a 500% increase in online searches of the keyword "Binance." They said it led people to use the platform to invest in what they called ''unregistered securities." Also, they said that Ronaldo should have disclosed how much the cryptocurrency platform paid him for the partnership.
