According to Evening Standard, Fulham are ready to make a move for Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade, who has previously been linked with Liverpool. Trindade is believed to be currently valued at £25 million.
Fulham recently banked £50 million through Joao Palhinha's sale to Bayern Munich. With the Portuguese midfielder leaving, the Cottagers are looking to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
Fluminense's Trindade, previously linked with Liverpool, has emerged as a priority option. London-based Fulham are reportedly confident of completing a £25 million deal for the player.
Apart from Tridade, Arsenal outcast Emile Smith Rowe is also on the London outfit's radar. Smith Rowe, however, is also on Crystal Palace's wishlist as Eberechi Eze has been attracting interest.
A potential failure in their pursuit of Smith Rowe could see Fulham move for Manchester United's Scott McTominay or Luton Town's Teden Mengi. McTominay has also been linked with West Ham United and David Moyes reportedly urged the Hammers to shell out £30 million for the Scotland international 12 months ago.
Fluminense president namedrops Liverpool and Fulham as Andre's potential destinations
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt has provided an update on the Andre Trindade transfer saga. He confirmed that Fulham have made a bid for the player, which the Brazilian outfit have countered but are yet to receive a response on.
Speaking to Itatiaia Esporte, Bittencourt said:
"Fulham is the club that has been looking for Andre since last year, in addition to Liverpool. In January, they made a new approach, at the moment, what we have is a paper from Fulham with a proposal, a paper from Fluminense with a counter-proposal. We still don't have a response."
Andre was a key player for the Fluminense side that won the Copa Libertadores in 2022-23. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has so far made 187 appearances for the Brazilian club.
Andre is also a Brazil international and has made five appearances for the nation's senior team.
