Fabian Ruiz, Spain's standout performer at Euro 2024, has attracted attention from La Liga powerhouses, including Real Madrid and Barcelona, following his impressive performances under Luis de la Fuente.

While Ruiz hasn't been a regular starter under former Spain boss Luis Enrique, the 28-year-old has still made 74 appearances over three years at Paris Saint-Germain, contributing six goals and ten assists. Despite rumors linking him to a potential return to Spain, PSG reportedly have no plans to let him leave.

According to journalist Matteo Moretto (via Yahoo Sports), the French club is adamant about keeping the experienced midfielder, who still has three years remaining on his contract. Sporting director Luis Campos is said to be particularly pleased with Ruiz's professionalism and attitude, even though he has had limited playing time so far this season.

With PSG’s recent acquisition of Portuguese talent Joao Neves, alongside emerging stars like Warren Zaire-Emery and Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz's minutes have been limited to just 47 across the first three Ligue 1 matches.

Nevertheless, with Real Madrid facing challenges following Toni Kroos’ departure and Barcelona yet to secure a midfielder reinforcement, the Spanish giants may still be keen on securing Ruiz’s services. However, prying him away from the French capital will be no easy task.

Barcelona star takes playful jab at Real Madrid amid La Liga title race: Report

Barcelona’s young sensation Lamine Yamal couldn't resist a playful dig at arch-rivals Real Madrid, with La Blaugrana leading the La Liga 2024-25 charts early on. After securing four wins from four matches, including a 7-0 demolition of Real Valladolid on Aug. 31, Barcelona sit at the top of the table with 12 points.

In an appearance on the Spanish TV program "El Hormiguero" on Antena 3 (via Daily Post Nigeria), Yamal was asked if he thought Real Madrid, who have had a less-than-ideal start to their campaign with two wins and two draws, were feeling the pressure.

He replied with a cheeky smile:

“Yes, it hurts them, as we are in the lead right now.”

Madrid’s slow start has seen them trailing the Catalan club by four points in second place. Yamal has been instrumental in Barca’s early success, notching one goal and four assists. As the competition heats up, Barcelona will return to action against Girona on Sunday (Sept. 15), while Real Madrid face a tough challenge against Real Sociedad the day prior.
