Roberto Firmino will be out of contract in the summer and he has decided to leave Liverpool. The Brazilian frontman has been at Anfield since 2015 and in that time has become a club legend.

The Reds forward has been linked with several clubs amid his availability as a free agent. Barcelona are expected to tap into the free agency market once again due to their financial issues.

According to SPORT, Firmino is keen on joining the Blaugrana and his arrival will ease the goalscoring burden on Robert Lewandowski. The Brazilian has bagged 12 goals and five assists in 34 matches across competitions this season.

Barcelona boss Xavi is looking to strengthen his attack after his side won their first La Liga title since 2019. However, they did so with no out-and-out center-forward backup to Lewandowski.

Firmino has plenty of experience having won the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the League Cup. He is renowned as a workhorse which fits well with the style of football Xavi has implemented at Camp Nou.
