Liverpool are interested in signing two Real Madrid players — Rodrygo Goes and Arda Guler — under Arne Slot's new management this summer. The Merseyside giants have now moved beyond the era of Jurgen Klopp and are looking to make new signings to strengthen their side.

According to rumors coming out of Spain, the Anfield club have set their sights on the Santiago Bernabeu, with plans to bolster their squad. A report from Estadio Deportivo (via Daily Mail) has revealed that they are looking at Rodrygo and Guler, who could both struggle for playing time in Madrid.

Rodrygo has been a vital part of Carlo Ancelotti's side in recent years, helping them win La Liga thrice and partaking in two Champions League wins. Last season, he played an impressive 51 games in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing nine assists.

Guler, on the other hand, joined Real Madrid last season. However, he spent the vast majority of the campaign injured and on the sidelines, only playing 10 La Liga games. Those games saw him score six goals, averaging a truly remarkable 63 minutes per goal.

Both players are widely expected to continue with Los Blancos, as they have done nothing but impress in their time at the club. However, the club have managed to sign superstar and World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe this summer, alongside young prodigy Endrick.

Their addition to Madrid's squad depth could see players like Rodrygo Goes struggle to enjoy the playing time they have regularly seen at the Bernabeu. To that end, a move for the Brazil international and Turkey's Arda Guler looks likely, and Liverpool seem ready to bid for the duo if possible.

The report makes it clear that a loan deal might be more favorable for the pockets of the English giants, especially for 19-year-old Guler, who would be quite costly. Time will tell if the Reds do make a move for the Real Madrid duo.

Liverpool dealt transfer blow as targeted defender reportedly agrees on Real Madrid move

Liverpool and Real Madrid have been seriously interested in signing French prodigy Leny Yoro, who has impressed his suitors with his Ligue 1 performances for Lille. The 18-year-old played 44 games last season, scoring three goals, including one in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

While a number of teams have been looking at him, it has now been reported that the defender's heart is set on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. Liverpool had already made a bid to sign him, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo (via GFFN) but it was rejected.

According to the report, rather than joining Real Madrid this year, Yoro wants to see out his contract with Lille and make the switch next season. However, this has put a dent in the Reds' plans to sign the 18-year-old as a future defensive talent for their club.
