Manchester United identify 3 top targets to replace Raphael Varane - Reports

Manchester United have reportedly identified Leny Yoro, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Goncalo Inacio as potential replacements for Raphael Varane.

With his contract up this summer, Varane announced that he would be leaving Old Trafford. Therefore, it's not surprising that the Red Devils are looking for his replacement after a season that saw several injuries in the area as well.

CaughtOffSide reports that the Manchester outfit are willing to spend up to £45 million on a centre-half this summer. This could mean that Lille wonderkid Yoro is just over the club's budget, given that his team have slapped a £50 million price tag on him, as per L’Equipe (via GOAL).

However, there are suggestions that the French outfit could settle for about £34 million. This season, the 18-year-old made 44 appearances across competitions, bagging three goals.

The next player mentioned is Sporting's 22-year-old centre-half Inacio, who reportedly has a release clause of £51 million (via Liverpool.com). He made 49 appearances across competitions this campaign, bagging four goals and an assist.

Lastly, Manchester United are said to be looking at OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo. He would seemingly be the cheapest of the three options, as it is believed that the Frenchman would be available for as little as £21 million, according to L’Equipe.

Todibo made 33 appearances across competitions this season, providing three assists.

Lille defender Leny Yoro is keen on joining Real Madrid amid interest from Manchester United (via 90min). The France under-23 international has a year left on his current deal with his employers and would become available for free next season.

Although Yoro is a player Carlo Ancelotti would love to snap up, they are seemingly unwilling to pay the €60 million asking price. Rather, they are pushing the young defender to reject all deals until he can walk away for free in 2025.

If Yoro's wishes to end up at the Santiago Bernabeu at true, it would be a huge blow to other interested clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool. However, it seems reasonable given the success Los Blancos have enjoyed this campaign.

Real Madrid won La Liga, beating second-placed Barcelona to the title by 10 points, the Supercopa de Espana, and also claimed their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy.
