PSG star among players being considered by Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr; European club unlikely to sell player: Reports

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz has reportedly emerged as a top target for Al-Nassr, who are keen on strengthening their squad for next season. Ruiz, who joined PSG from Napoli in 2022, played an integral role in Luis Enrique’s squad that won the quadruple in the recently concluded season.

The Spaniard made 54 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants across competitions, registering 15 goal contributions.

Since adding Cristiano Ronaldo to their ranks, Al-Nassr are yet to win a major trophy. They finished third in the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League table and, much to their chagrin, missed out on next season’s AFC Champions League Elite. In a bid to challenge for the title next season, the Knights of Najd have prioritized new signings this summer.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, midfielder Fabián Ruiz is among the top targets on the list at Al-Nassr this summer. This comes after it was confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will extend his stay at the Riyadh-based club. They see Ruiz as the dream player to plan for a future with Ronaldo.

Despite the interest in Ruiz, Al-Nassr are yet to submit an offer to Paris Saint-Germain. PSG manager Luis Enrique considers Fabian Ruiz a key player in his project. The 29-year-old himself is said to be comfortable in the French capital, as he eyes a place in the Spanish national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Given the aforementioned circumstances, Romano believes it will be hard for Knights of Najd to lure Ruiz to the Middle East, but he insisted that the Riyadh-based club will try with an important offer to the club and the player.

Fabian Ruiz’s contract with PSG will expire in 2027, and his current market value is €40 million, as per Transfermarkt.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly demanded Al-Nassr sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer. Garnacho has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford for the past couple of months. His comments after United’s Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur have put his future at the club in serious doubt.

According to Fichajes.net, Al-Nassr have put Alejandro Garnacho on their transfer list at the behest of Cristiano Ronaldo. The report adds that the Saudi giants identified Garnacho as a potential target after failing to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool.

Garnacho has publicly expressed his admiration for Ronaldo on multiple occasions, calling him his idol. It remains to be seen if the Saudi club can reach an agreement with United over the transfer of the Argentine.
