Real Madrid have reportedly identified the man they want as interim manager should they decide to part ways with Carlo Ancelotti. As claimed by Relevo via Madrid Xtra on X (formerly Twitter), Los Blancos want Santiago Solari if they sack Ancelotti.
Real Madrid have endured a rather difficult season following a fantastic campaign last time out. They won both LaLiga and the Champions League last season but have struggled this time out.
The Whites find themselves third in the league at the moment, trailing leaders Barcelona, who beat them 4-0 at the Bernabeu in October, by seven points. They have also not been at their best in the Champions League and find themselves 18th in the table.
If things don't improve soon, Carlo Ancelotti's second stint at the Santiago Bernabeu could come to an end. The Spanish capital club have reportedly already found the Italian's interim replacement in Santiago Solari.
Solari began working as a coach with Los Blancos in 2013 and has spent several years at the club in different capacities. The Argentine previously served as the club's interim manager in the 2018-19 season after Julen Lopetegui's sacking.
The 48-year-old was in charge of the Spanish giants for a total of 32 times and registered 22 wins, two draws and eight losses. Meanwhile, Ancelotti's future at the club hangs in the balance regardless of whether he is sacked during the season.
Ancelotti previously managed Real Madrid between 2013 and 2015 and was once again appointed in 2021. He has won a total of 14 trophies during his two stints with the club.
Real Madrid star wanted by Manchester United - Reports
Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga with Ruben Amorim looking to bolster his squad. As claimed by Bernabeu Digital, the Red Devils have set their sights on the Frenchman but might have to look elsewhere.
Camavinga is believed to have no interest in leaving the Spanish giants and wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu for many years to come. The Frenchman joined them in 2021 in a reported £34.4 million move from Rennes and has become an integral part of their sqaud.
The France international has made 152 appearances for the Whites so far having contributed with two goals and nine assists. The versatile Frenchman has won 10 trophies during his time at the Spanish giants.
