Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is reportedly set to be the next manager at Liverpool, replacing the outgoing Jurgen Klopp. The German, earlier this year, announced his decision to leave at the end of the season.

Slot led his current side to the Eredivisie title last season, and Frankfurt are set to finish second, behind winners PSV Eindhoven, this campaign. He's now set to end his adventure in the Netherlands and embark on a new one on English shores with the Reds.

As per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Dutchman has signed his contract with Liverpool, with the club expected to make an official announcement soon. Romano reported that it will be done after the work permits of some of his staff members come through.

As per ESPN, the Reds have agreed compensation worth £49.4 million with the Reds, with his Feyenoord assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff set to join him at Anfield. The Dutchman will have big shoes to fill, though.

Jurgen Klopp has etched his name into club folklore, having transformed the Reds from a mid-table club to one of the best in England and Europe. Under the affable German, the Reds have won all available titles except the Europa League.

Liverpool are in the midst of a decent if not spectacular season. After being in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple, they are set for a top-three Premier League finish, having bowed out of title contention recently.

After winning the EFL Cup, the Reds endured successive quarterfinal reverses in the FA Cup (Manchester United) and UEFA Europa League (Atalanta). A poor run of results in the league put paid to their hopes of winning their second league title under the outgoing Klopp.

Following a 3-3 draw at Aston Villa on Monday (May 13), the Klopp era at Anfield draws to a close with a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the last day of the league season on Sunday (May 19).
