Arsenal are reportedly looking to lure Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz to the Emirates this summer. The 24-year-old midfielder made his Los Blancos debut in the 2018-19 season and spent three seasons on loan at AC Milan.

Back at the Santiago Bernabeu last summer, Diaz was a key performer for Carlo Ancelotti's side during the recently concluded season, registering 12 goals and nine assists in 44 games across competitions, starting 22.

Most of those goal contributions - eight goals and seven assists in 31 games - came in La Liga, which Los Blancos won for a record-extending 36th time. Diaz also scored twice and assisted once in nine games in their victorious UEFA Champions League campaign and scored once in two games in their Supercopa Espana triumph.

Despite having a contract at the Bernabeu till 2027, Diaz is the subject of interest from the Gunners, as per Boss Mikel Arteta is said to be 'seriously considering' a move for his compatriot and also guaranteeing him first-team football.

It remains to be seen if Diaz chooses to continue his development at the Bernabeu without being a regular starter or move to the Emirates in search of regular game time. The 24-year-old has Premier League experience with Manchester City.

Arsenal and Real Madrid have had impressive seasons. While the Gunners eventully only had the FA Community Shield to show for their efforts, they pushed Manchester City close in a riveting Premier League title race.

However, the Cityzens won on the final day to win an unprecedented Premier League four peat, extending the Gunners' 20-year league title drought. The Gunners, though, performed well in the UEFA Champions League, reaching the quarterfinals for the first time in 14 years before losing to Bayern Munich. They faltered in both domestic cups, though.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid had a memorable season, winning the Supercopa, La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles. Carlo Ancelotti's side only lost twice all season - both to Atletico Madrid - once in the league and once in the Copa del Rey (Round of 16).
