Gundogan could move to Los Blancos

Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan has refused to extend his contract at Borussia Dortmund according to Marca. The midfielder was said to have been offered a new contract that would keep him at the Signal Iduna Park beyond 2015 when his current contract ends but the German international has reportedly rejected the offer and could possibly move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2014.

The German press are confident that Gundogan will be playing in La Liga for Real Madrid next season. A deal is supposedly in place and will involve a player plus cash deal which will see Nuri Sahin move permanently to Dortmund. Sahin is currently on loan from Los Blancos at Borussia Dortmund.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been vital for the Germans and helped them reach the Champions League final last season. He has previously said that he would look to move to another league when his contract ends with the Westphalia club.

However, Dortmund do not wish to see the player move on a free in 2015 and would instead look to sell him in the upcoming summer. Manchester United and Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in the midfielder but it seems the player would rather move to Spain.

The deal is said to be worth around €30 million in which Sahin’s value is will be around €7 million.
