The Daily Mirror reports, Tottenham Hotspur outcast Lewis Holtby is on his way to German giants Borussia Dortmund after Spurs boss Tim Sherwood confirmed the player is free to leave.
The immensely talented playmaker joined the North London outfit from Schalke last winter in a bargain deal, and promised a lot after being highly regarded in the Bundesliga.
However, due to several reasons, the versatile midfielder has failed to settle into the Premier League, failing to establish himself in the star studded Tottenham side. The 22-year old has started only 6 games in the domestic league this season, scoring only one solitary goal.
Although Schalke were said to be front runners to land their former star at the start of the January window, Borussia Dortmund have emerged as surprise favorites to sign German international.
