Rumour: Liverpool on alert as Tello reveals he may leave Barcelona

Recent reports from Spain indicate that Christian Tello may well be on his way out as he voiced his frustrations about lack of opportunities.

During an interview, when asked about his future, Tello was quoted as saying,”You wait and see how the season goes and if by the end I do not play what I want, I will raise out. Taking that step will be quite difficult but I think we appreciate the role of each. As the years pass you want the role change and have more minutes.”

Tello has long been touted as a “starlet” and yet had been able to make 9 appearances in this season so far with just 2 starts in them.The 22 year old will be desperate to let go of the “starlet” tag and make a name for himself elsewhere if opportunities continue to be hard to come by at the Camp Nou.

Liverpool could possibly be his next stop if their interests in him are to be believed. Manager Brendan Rodgers had attempted to sign him earlier in the summer but was given a hands off warning by Barcelona.

Daniel Sturridge

Liverpool are in a dilemma in the striking department as Sturridge is now out for upto 8 weeks having been injured during the international break. The SAS combo was sorely missed last weekend when Liverpool were thrashed 3-1 by Hull city.

Rodgers might as well be looking for an attacking option in January and in Tello he would be getting a pacy customer who is capable of creating havoc on the wings.

Liverpool currently stand 4th in the Premier League table after 13 games.
