Luis Alberto: Might be on his way back to Spain this summer

Liverpool look increasingly likely to move the disappointing Luis Alberto to Malaga this summer, with negotiations between the two clubs set to accelerate next week, according to AS.

Alberto struggled for appearances during his debut year with Liverpool last season, and a move away from the club is probably necessary for him to carry on his development. There is no word as to whether the move would be on a permanent basis or temporary. Liverpool may also be keen to secure a buy-back option on the youngster, incase he develops rapidly and the Anfield club come to regret his departure.

Spanish newspaper AS, who are reporting the move, suggest that Alberto himself has asked for the move, knowing that another season of stagnation at Liverpool would not be good for his career.

The newspaper is also reporting that he’s also set to begin training with Malaga soon, showing the progression of the deal.

Alberto began his career with Sevilla, who Liverpool are currently attempting to sign Alberto Moreno from.
