The agent of Manchester United twins, Rafael and Fabio, has revealed that both players are likely to leave the club in the summer.
In news that will shock Man Utd fans, the twins may be set to leave the club in the summer. Fans may not be too disappointed to see Fabio leave but many regard Rafael to be one of the best right-backs in Europe.
Italian news website Calcio Mercato is reporting the quotes after they spoke to the brother’s agent, Cassiano Pereira.
In recent days Rafael has been linked to clubs in Italy with Inter and Napoli both reported to have built an interest in the full-back.
Pereira is quoted as saying: “I know nothing about these rumours, I think it is just media speculation.
“I can say that will remain in Manchester until the end of the season, but in summer it is very likely that they can go.”
It seems certain, then, that at least one of the brothers is set to leave the club but with Rafael rated so highly at Old Trafford, one would assume they will try their very best to hold onto him for as long as possible.
Fabio’s contract runs out in the summer but Rafael is contracted to the club until 2016 and despite constant injury problems, he remains the club’s best right-back.
