QPR rumored to leave Loftus Road.

According to Mirror, the Championship side Queens Park Rangers is set to leave Loftus road for a new stadium with a 40,000 seat capacity.

QPR director Tony Fernandes has also stated that the club wanted to leave Loftus Road as there was no option of expanding the seating capacity at their present stadium. Queens Park Rangers have been playing at Loftus Road since 1917.

The QPR director has also stated that Loftus Road will always be a special place for the club and it’s supporters but since the club is looking for more capacity and there is no chance of renovation, they will have to move to a new stadium

The Hoops currently stand in the second position in the Championship behind league leaders Burnley who share equal points but are on the top due to goal difference.
