Luis Suarez: The next subject of bidding war between the Spanish giants?

Reports suggest that Liverpool could be bracing themselves for another summer of Luis Suarez transfer turmoil, with The Daily Mail reporting that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are ready to bid for the Uruguayan forward.

Real Madrid and Arsenal were both keen on Suarez last season, with Liverpool rejecting a £40 million bid from Arsenal from the striker.

While Arsenal are unlikely to return with a fresh bid, reports suggest that Real Madrid are likely to renew their interest in Suarez. The Mail also believe that Barcelona are interested in Suarez, who scored 31 league goals this season.

They report that the interest of both Spanish giants is likely to inflate Suarez’s price to around the £100 million mark, while they also believe that the striker does have a buy-out clause contained in his new contract.

Much of last season’s transfer saga surrounded the existence of a buy-out clause in the forward’s contract, with Arsenal and Suarez both believing that the Gunners had triggered it. Liverpool stood firm and rejected the bid, although owner John Henry later revealed that the clause did exist, before clarifying the situation by handing PFA player of the season Suarez a new deal.

However reports suggest that Real and Barcelona remain undeterred in their pursuit of the striker, with Real said to be ready to mobilise their use of the Spanish press to crank up the speculation.
