Liverpool ‘okay’ with letting Luis Suarez join Real Madrid as long as they qualify for Champions League

Rumours are that Liverpool are prepared to let Luis Suarez leave Anfield if they manage to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Liverpool representatives have discussed the possibility of selling Suarez to the Bernabeu club who expressed an interest in the former Ajax man over the summer and the two clubs have tentatively agreed on a £60m fee as the Merseyside club look to prevent any sale to a domestic rival, having already turned down two Arsenal bids for the player.

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelloti has been wanting Suarez at Madrid since the summer transfer window began for he belives that the Uruguayan international is the ideal candidate to act as the club’s central striker with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale providing support from wide areas, creating potentially the most feared attack in world football.

Rodgers has been assured that the £60m the club would bank from the possible sale of Suarez would be made available for the purchase of a top quality replacement.

Since his return to the Premier League, Luis Suarez has scored eight goals in six matches and looks to be continuing with his picture-perfect form.
